Each company is evaluated based on qualitative and quantitative factors based on company size, brand presence, market reputation, and compliance with Brand Made in Germany quality standards.
Scoring System & Evaluation Process
Companies based on business size must complete a comprehensive brand audit consisting of 50 questions across five sections:
10 general brand-related questions
40 specific brand-related questions (10 per section).
Each question is scored on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = Poor, 5 = Excellent).
A minimum score of 70% is required to obtain the Brand Made in Germany Badge and certification.
Passing the evaluation entitles companies to the Brand Made in Germany Badge & Certificate
70+ Points = Awarded Brand Made in Germany Badge & Certification.
50–69 Points = Eligible for re-evaluation after improvements.

After submitting the online form, you will receive a questionnaire (20-50 questions) and also a Brand Health Check.
Please note: A €990 advance payment is required to initiate the process.
You will receive an annual contract based on your request.
This step may take 1-3 business days in Germany.
Step 2: Brand Assessment & Scoring
Once we submit the completed questionnaire, our auditors evaluate the responses.
The evaluation considers brand health, compliance, and alignment with the "Brand Made in Germany" principles.
This step may take 5-7 business days in Germany.
Step 3: Interview & Verification (If needed)
If necessary, auditors may conduct interviews with executives, marketing teams, and branding managers.
In order to ensure the authenticity of brand claims and registrations, cross-verification is utilized.
There may be a need for additional supporting documents or brand evidence.
This step may take 7-14 business days in Germany.
Step 4: Seal & Certificate Issuance
If you/your company scores at least 70%, your Brand Made in Germany Seal & Certificate will be issued.
